NYSC Secures Release Of 5th Zamfara PCM, Driver

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that its collaboration with the military have witnessed further release of another female Prospective Corps Member (PCM), including the driver of the bus kidnapped in Zamfara State on their way to NYSC Orientation Camp in Sokoto State last year.

Director, Press and Public Relations of the NYSC, Eddy Megwa announced the development in a statement issued on Monday, February 5, 2024.

TheFact Daily gathered that this brings the total number of PCMs already released to five, while efforts were still ongoing to ensure that the remaining three (one female and two male) still in captivity regain their freedom soonest.

To this end, “the Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed appreciates the security agents for their untiring efforts that resulted in the release of the PCMs, adding that the Scheme will never shirk its responsibility of upholding the welfare of Corps Members at all times”, Megwa said.
