The statement read thus: “The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.

“On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success in her role as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeria.

“As First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy. Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation.

“However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families. As we celebrate the First Lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.

“We encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalised and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritised in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyse positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.

“As we honour her, let us reflect on our collective responsibility to uplift one another and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians,” CAN stated.
