Put Country First Before Self, Olarinre Tasks Communications Ministry Officials

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Mr. Adeladan Olarinre has charged the officials of the ministry to work towards the good of all Nigerians than pursuing personal gains or comforts.
According to a statement made available on Thursday by the Head of Press and Public Relations Unit of the ministry, Amina Dimlong, Olarinre gave the task when he meet with head of unit and other senior staff at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja,
The Permanent Secretary said the common mandate for everyone is to focus and move the country forward, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu ‘s Administration.
He spoke passionately about the contribution of Digital Economy to the economic growth of Nigeria and the need for the ministry to be on the news always because the world has gone beyond analogue and has moved to Artificial Intelligence (AI), which if properly utilized, a lot could be achieved in different sphere of the nation’s economy.
He said staff welfare and value addition can only happen when there is peace and harmony within the ministry, adding that there is need for transparency, efficiency and professionalism in performing their duties and also shun corruption.
Earlier in his remarks, Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Joseph Anagonye listed the critical departments in the ministry which includes, Spectrum Management, Information Communication Technology, Telecoms Postal Services and Radio Monitoring and Surveys.
He gave the assurance of handing over immediately to enable the permanent Secretary take charge of the office.
The out-going Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs. Comfort Kabirwa also appreciated the Permanent Secretary while giving her vote of thanks.
