The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has announced that the 2025 Easter pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan would commence in July.
The Executive Secretary NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite disclosed this on Thursday in a meeting with members of the Conference of States in Abuja.
The conference of States comprises Chairmen and Secretaries of the States Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Adegbite while emphasizing the importance of teamwork and synergy between the Commission and the States Pilgrimage leaders, said, “Pilgrimage is a Ministry, and as such, we are all working for God.God is our sustaining grace; we have started well, and we are going to finish well.
He urged states participating in the Easter Pilgrimage to mobilize their intending pilgrims for screening by NCPC officials without delay.
The NCPC boss also commended Jigawa State for formally inaugurating a brand new Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board and encouraged other states to constitute functional boards.
The Chairman of the Conference of States, Bishop David Moradeyo, lauded Bishop Adegbite for the success of the 2024 Main Pilgrimage exercise and his visionary leadership.
