TCN Announces Arrest Of Three Vandals In Enugu State

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the arrest of three individuals suspected of vandalizing power line installations in Agbogugu, Enugu State.

TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah who announced this in a statement late on Thursday explained that the arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts between the community members and law enforcement agents on Sunday, March 24, 2025.

According to her, the suspects were initially held at Agbogwugu police station, Ozalla, then later moved to the state CID and finally transferred to prison after their first court appearance.

She noted that TCN officials are working closely with the police to ensure that the vandals face justice.

Mrs Mbah said the incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement to fight vandalism.

She therefore, urged all host communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to security operatives or to TCN office close to them.

While stating that vandalism affects everyone, undermining the nation’s efforts to provide a reliable and efficient transmission grid, Mrs. Mbah noted that by joining forces, power installations would be protected to ensure a robust transmission grid.

She stressed that prompt reporting of suspicious activities would greatly contribute to preventing such incidents and bringing perpetrators to justice.
