The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says electricity supply to parts of Kogi State will be interrupted on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, as it carries out annual preventive maintenance at its 330/132kV Ajaokuta Transmission Substation.
In a statement issued by its management on Monday, TCN said the exercise will run from 10am to 3pm and is required to allow maintenance crews work on the bay switchgear and associated equipment on the 132kV Ajaokuta Transmission Line 1.
As a result, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off take electricity for onward supply to customers in Adogo, Anyimgba, Ganaja and adjoining areas for the duration of the exercise.
TCN said power supply would be restored immediately after the maintenance work is completed, and apologised to consumers in the affected areas for the inconvenience.
