The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced a planned maintenance exercise at its Katampe 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation today, Monday, December 1, 2025, from 11 am to 1 pm.
TCN, in a statement by its General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, explained that the exercise was for an on-the-site acceptance test for local Human Machine Interface (HMI) on the 150MVA 2KTP TR1 HV (primary) bay switchgears.
Consequently, it said the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) would not be able to off-take bulk power to distribute to its customers in Bwari, Jahi, Jabi, NIPP, Jere and Jiwa for two hours.

The company however, assured that power would be restored as soon as the maintenance work was completed.
