The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), has held a strategic meeting with key stakeholders in Lagos on the commencement of the Ibeju-Lekki Power System Improvement Project.
The milestone meeting led by the General Manager (Transmission), Lagos Region, Engr. Mojeed Akintola, had the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the FGN Power Company, and other key stakeholders in attendance.
Held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Conference Room of the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the meeting was chaired by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Biodun Ogunleye.
According to a statement made available on Tuesday, by the TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, discussions at the meeting focused on project timelines, stakeholder coordination, and strategies for addressing potential implementation challenges to ensure the timely delivery of the project and improved power supply in the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
