The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) has described President Bola Tinubu’s emergence as presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections as well-deserved, saying that his candidacy would help consolidate the reforms his administration has pursued since taking office in 2023.
In a joint statement issued by its Chairman, Chukwudi Enekwechi, and Secretary, Segun Ogedengbe, the group acknowledged that the economic reforms introduced by the President since his inauguration on May, 29, 2023, have come with considerable hardship for ordinary Nigerians but maintained that their long-term benefits are both foreseeable and necessary.
“While it is true that the generality of Nigerians are going through pains due to the removal of fuel subsidy and the harmonisation of the forex window, we believe that the reforms are necessary to restore the country to the path of growth and development,” he TMV said.
The group expressed confidence that a second term would allow President Tinubu to build on gains already recorded in infrastructure, power, exchange rate stabilisation, the student loan fund, the CREDICORP initiative, increased monthly allocations to the states, expansion and development of agriculture and food production thereby enhancing food security, massive infrastructural development in the Federal Capital Territory during his second term.
“We are glad that the President also acknowledged in his ‘’Thank you all’’ advertorial that though the journey has been challenging, the future remains promising.
“We are gratified that the president remains focused on delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda which if religiously implemented has the potential to transform the country remarkably,” TMV said.
It also appealed to Nigerians to continue to render the Tinubu administration the necessary support ahead of the 2027 elections.
