We’ll Win War Against Insecurity – Peter Obi
The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi has disclosed that the country would win the war against insecurity, and would not rest until every Nigerian life is secure.
Mr. Obi who stated this on his X account, urged the government and all the security agencies, at the forefront of combating insecurity, to make extra efforts to arrest the growing menace of insecurity in the country.
He, particularly, condemned the attack at Uga, in Anambra state which claimed the lives of two policemen attached to Chris Ubah, expressing sadness that the society has degenerated to the level where violence has become a ready mode of expression.
The former governor of Anambra State also expressed worry that some gunmen went on a rampage in Amesi Community in the same Aguata LGA and killed a vigilante, identified as Chigbo Onuegbu (Akawo), and kidnapped another, adding that such act must not only be condemned but also combatted by the authorities.
He said, “every act of terror and violence must be condemned. We must not allow our society to lose the sense of sacredness of life”.
He, however, consoles the bereaved families of the policemen and the vigilante who lost their lives in the attack and sympathised with Chris Uba over the sad incident.
