The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu, has directed the immediate recall of a patrol team for allegedly assaulting a motorist.
This was disclosed Wednesday by the Corps’ Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.
According to Kazeem, the action of a member of the patrol team at the Egbeda Unit Command in Ogun State, which was caught on camera, was nothing short of incivility, and “a complete contravention of the standard operating procedures for officers of the Corps on patrol operations.
Consequently, the Corps Marshal has directed the Corps Intelligence Office as well as the Corps Provost Office to commence with immediate effect, a full and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances that propelled the officer’s uncivil actions and make necessary recommendations for swift administrative action.
He stated that FRSC as an ISO certified organisation, does not condone indiscipline or compromise standards when it comes to rendering service to the public. As such all necessary disciplinary actions recommended will be administered appropriately.
