CJID Set To Host Maiden WAJIC In Abuja
The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development has concluded plans to host the first West Africa journalism innovation Conference (WAjIC 23).
Scheduled for the 24th-26th of July 2023, the conference would be held at the prestigious Abuja Continental Hotel in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.
The Executive Director, CJID, Dr. Tobi Oluwatola in a statement said, the conference would bring together media professionals, technology experts, and industry leaders to explore groundbreaking ideas, foster collaboration, and drive innovation in the field of journalism.
WAJIC would also provide a platform for discussions on ways to explore innovation, technological models, and tools that can fortify journalism practice and its sustainability in West African democratic societies while upholding the principles of accuracy, truthfulness, verification, and utmost dedication to public purpose.
