Odeyemi Pledges To Make NIPOST Technology-Driven

The Postmaster General of the Federation, Ms. Tola Odeyemi has pledged to leverage technology to make Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)logistics, e-commerce, and other postal services more efficient.

Odeyemi who assumed duty on Monday amid protests by staff, promised to build on the legacy of her predecessors to advance the postal organisation locally and internationally.

TheFact Daily reports that Odeyemi is an engineer with over 15 years of wealth of knowledge and experience spanning both public and private sectors in Tech policy and Government Regulatory roles working at senior government levels at both state and federal.

Odeyemi said,‘’the essence of every administration lies in the ability to ensure continuity while staying focused on its core values and mandate, striving to maximize its potentials, and adopting to change and involving commitment’’.

‘’ NIPOST has a legacy that was forged by hard work, the vision of those before me, and posterity will be indeed kind to them’’.

‘’ As I assume this role, I came to build on the commendable work of my predecessors, my aspirations are not only to solidify NIPOST’s status as one of the leading Postal Operators in the world but to critically commence to build trade and make NIPOST the- commerce and logistics hub in the world by providing postal services that meet the needs of Nigerians, irrespective of the location’’.

The Postmaster General expressed her profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for entrusting her with the duty of Postmaster General of the Federation, a national assignment that she holds dear to her heart’’.

As the first female to hold this position since NIPOST’s existence, her appointment is a testament to the strides our Nation is making to close the gender and age gap in governance in Nigeria.

She promised to consolidate what she meets on ground and promised to even do better with the cooperation of the staff.
