The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not a Superman as being perceived by Nigerians.
Onanuga made this submission on his X handle on Wednesday against the backdrop of President Tinubu’s slip during the Democracy Day Parade at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
The President missed his step while climbing into a truck to take the Democracy Day Ceremonial Parade -an incident that has generated chains of reactions on the social media.
Commenting on the incident, Onanuga said, “President Tinubu is not a Superman. He is human like all of us.
“President Biden has had several slips in the last three years. Even the younger Barack Obama slipped while President.
“Political leaders are human. Slipping should not detract from the import of Democracy Day celebration”, he said.
Corroborating Onanuga’s position, Human Rights Activist, Shehu Sani said, “not just President Tinubu, anyone alive can trip and fall; it happened to President Biden and Fidel Castro.Presidents are human beings and mortals”.
Unperturbed by the incident, President Tinubu successfully completed his round of ceremonial parade.
