Shortly, after the disconnection of the government house, the Kaduna State Government in turn sealed the Kaduna Electric over unpaid taxes amounting to N600 million.

Kaduna Electric said, as a responsible corporate citizen, it is committed to continuing to pay its taxes and other state levies and dues as appropriate. Similarly, the Kaduna State Government has also pledged to settle the electricity bills of its ministries, departments, and agencies as and when due.

The Managing Director of Kaduna Electric, Umar Abubakar Hashidu, extended his gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, the Managing Director of Kaduna State Power Supply Company, Engr. Idris Aminu Idris, the Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, and other government officials for their efforts in finding a solution to the issues in dispute.

He also appreciated the untiring efforts of the Board Chairman, Alh. Aminu Abubakar Suleiman and Board Directors of Kaduna Electric for their support in bringing a close to the impasse.

Kaduna Electric assured the public and its esteemed customers of its unrelenting commitment to finding amicable ways of resolving disputes and providing efficient and reliable services to all its stakeholders.

It therefore solicits the cooperation of all as it discharges its duty as the foremost utility provider.
