The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened a dedicated portal for online accreditation of journalists and media organisations wishing to cover the Ondo State Governorship election.
INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, in a statement on Monday, September 9, 2024, said the portal would open today and automatically shut down at midnight on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
He, therefore, urged interested media organisations wishing to deploy journalists and technical staff to cover the election to apply via the official website of the Commission.
Olumekun implored prospective applicants to do the needful well ahead of the 31st October deadline, as there would be no extension of deadline.
The commissioner warned that late submissions would not be entertained.
