FCT Bus, Taxi Terminals To Be Ready January – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike has hinted that, two of the three Bus and Taxi Terminals under construction by FCT Administration will be ready in January next year.

Wike gave the hint on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 while inspecting ongoing projects in Abuja.

He disclosed that no bus or taxi would be allowed to operate on FCT roads when the terminals are completed, adding that everybody would have to move to the various terminals.

While expressing satisfaction with the speed of work inaugurated barely three months ago, he explained that the contractor was given 15 months to deliver the three terminals at Mabushi, Eagle Square and Kugbo.

The Minister however, disclosed that the contractor promised to deliver the Mabushi and Kugbo terminals in January, which would be nine months earlier than the scheduled timeline.

“For the terminal that is sited at Eagle Square, we have some problems there, but we have been able to sort it out.

“There are some underground facilities which the contractor tried to settle with the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

“I am sure very soon work will commence there”, he said.
