The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has completed the payment of N3.9 billion arrears to 91,146 eligible Pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DGS).
This payment, according to PTAD, was part of the N32,000 increment approved by President Bola Tinubu.
The Head, Corporate Communications, PTAD, Olugbenga Ajayi, who announced this in a statement on Friday, gave the breakdown of the payment to include, N1.9 billion to $9,865 pensioners under Parastatals Pension Department, N&30 million to 12,976 Pensioners under Civil Service Pension Department, N620 million to 9,689 Pensioners under Police Pension Department, and NSS1 million to 8,616 Pensioners under Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Pension Department.
Speaking on the payment, the PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunalya, reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to settling outstanding arrears and improving Pensioners’ welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Ahmed Tinubu.
