Theatre Commander Charges Newly Decorated Soldiers On Excellence, Discipline

The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY), Major General Warrah Idris, has decorated newly promoted soldiers serving at the Theatre Command Headquarters.
This was contained in a statement signed by OPFY’s Media Information Officer, Captain David Adewusi, on Saturday.
The ceremony, held at OPFY Headquarters, featured the decoration of personnel promoted across various ranks—from Lance Corporal to Master Warrant Officer—in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and exceptional performance in ongoing operations.
In his address, Major General Idris congratulated the beneficiaries and commended their outstanding service in the field.
He urged them to remain courageous and let their new ranks serve as motivation to demonstrate even greater gallantry in operations targeted at eliminating terrorism and banditry across the North West, as well as parts of Kwara and Niger States.
He further reiterated the Theatre Command’s commitment to sustaining aggressive mobile operations to ensure swift and decisive mission outcomes.
The Theatre Commander also encouraged the newly promoted soldiers to maintain unwavering commitment to duty, praising their impressive contributions across the theatre.
Major General Idris extended heartfelt appreciation to the families of the promoted personnel present at the event, acknowledging their steadfast support and prayers.
He noted that their encouragement has played a crucial role in keeping the troops focused and dedicated, ultimately leading to their well-deserved career advancement.
