The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC)has launched its MyPower Mobile and Web Apps to give customers faster and easier access to electricity services.
The launch, which took place in Abuja on Wednesday as part of the company’s Customer Service Week, was aimed at expanding digital service channels and putting customers at the centre of service delivery.
The company, in a statement made available, said the apps bring essential electricity services together in one digital ecosystem. Customers can buy tokens, pay bills, report outages and service issues, lodge and track complaints, view energy consumption, access bills and receipts, manage multiple accounts and meters and update personal information.
The platforms also include a staff verification feature that allows customers to confirm the identity of AEDC personnel before granting access to their premises.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AEDC, Engr. Chijioke Z. Okwuokenye, said the launch reflects the company’s push to become more customer focused and digitally enabled.
He said the MyPower platforms are significant steps toward using technology to give customers greater control over how they interact with AEDC and access services, adding that the company remains committed to building a more responsive and accessible organisation.
Chief Operating Officer of AEDC, Engr. Blessing Ogbe, said the apps show how the company is redefining customer service by letting feedback shape process design and service delivery.
He said the company will continue to listen, learn and innovate to ensure the customer experience keeps pace with expectations.
According to AEDC, customers who prefer mobile access can use the MyPower Mobile App while those who prefer computer or mobile browser can use the MyPower Web App for similar services.
The company said the apps will continue to evolve with new capabilities to create greater value.
The MyPower Mobile App is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while the Web App can be accessed via crm.abujaelectricity.com.
