Journalists in the Federal Capital Territory have saluted the Jesus Praise Evangelical Ministry International for turning a simple family gathering into a global outreach, as the church marks its tenth anniversary alongside its eighth Convention, HEBRON 2026.
In a statement signed on Sunday by its Chairman, Felix Ojo, the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Chapter, congratulated the ministry’s founder and Senior Presiding Pastor, Dr Femi Lanre-Oke, on the milestone.
The Chapel said the double celebration marks a decade of faithful service, excellence and teamwork to God and humanity.
The Chapel credited the ministry with wide social impact over the past ten years, citing its mission centres, His Praise Publishing and Bookshop, scholarships, FLO Leadership Academy, FLO Marriage Seminar and FLO Mentorship Programme.
It also named the Davidstone School of Ministry, Still Waters Foundation, social empowerment outreaches, business grants, Staystrong conferences, TED Women Initiatives and counselling and mentorship programmes.
According to the Chapel, these efforts have touched many lives and helped raise a new generation of Nigerian leaders.
The Union said the ministry’s resilience and commitment have built moral values, reshaped character and equipped young leaders to take responsibility and influence families, ministries, workplaces and society.
The Chapel also said it shares the ministry’s vision of a church that exists for the people, with a mission that cares for the oppressed, discouraged, overlooked, rejected and disenfranchised, bringing relief and comfort to humanity.
The Union thanked Dr Lanre-Oke and the ministry for their cooperation over the years and their commitment to the welfare of journalists and expressed hope for deeper partnership and collaboration in their shared vision of service to the people.
The Chapel wished the ministry many more years of dedicated service, a stronger commitment to its calling and continued obedience to God.
