The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced a scheduled two-day power outage in Lugbe, Airport Road, Gaduwa and parts of Apo in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
In a Public Notice on Saturday to its customers in the affected areas, AEDC explained that the 2-day planned power outage scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th May 2026, was at the instance of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
According to AEDC, the outage was to enable the relocation of the critical electricity infrastructure along the “33kv feeders H21, H23 and 11kv feeder H1A” in the Gaduwa district to facilitate road construction in the overriding public interest.
The Power Distribution Company (DIsCo) noted that during the period, electricity supply to the affected areas would be temporarily disrupted.
It however, assured the customers that supply would be restored upon completion of the exercise.
AEDC sincerely apologised for any inconveniences caused and appreciated their understanding.
