Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has congratulated the Bishop of the Gboko Diocese, William Avenya, on his 71st birthday.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, the Governor applauded Bishop Avenya for his immense contributions to the Lord’s vineyard and to nation-building.
Governor Alia described the cleric as a role model whose leadership qualities are worthy of emulation, noting that his impact on Christendom through his prayers, pragmatic teachings, and the grooming of God-fearing Christian faithful has not gone unnoticed.

He wished the septuagenarian good health and many more years of happiness as he continues to contribute to God’s vineyard and the development of the nation.
