Breaking: South Africa Defeats Congo DR To Lift Bronze At AFCON

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa has defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo, to win Bronze at the ongoing TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.

South Africa won 6-5 on penalties after the regulation time to lift the prestigious bronze at the tournament.

Bafana Bafana Captain and Goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams saved two spot-kicks to give South Africa the all-important win at a Nations Cup since 2000.

Tomorrow will be the turn of Nigeria and the host, Ivory Coast as they battle for Gold at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
