Security Forces Rescue 5 Kidnapped Victims In Zamfara

A joint security team with support from Community Protection Guards and local vigilantes have rescued five abducted victims during a joint operation in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara state.

Security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Monday, said that according to sources, armed bandits were on Sunday, 21 September, sighted moving abducted persons from Barikin Daji bush camp to Bayan Ruwa camp, attempting to pass through Garbadu village at about 6am.

The joint security team was deployed to the scene, where they intercepted the bandits and successfully rescued the victims.

According to sources, Makama said, the rescued persons are Hauwa’u Lawali, 45; Karima Lawali, 25; Zainab Lawali, 27; Naja’atu Lawali, 15; and Zainabu Lawali, all from Wanu village, Anka LGA.

The victims were taken to Dauda Care Hospital, Talata Mafara, for medical attention, before being debriefed and later reunited with their relatives
