EFCC Arrests One For Alleged Naira Racketeering In Enugu

Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested one Ekene Ibegbu, in connection with alleged racketeering of N1,580,000 (One Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira).

The anti-graft agency Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, February, 10, 2024.

Ibegbu, was arrested by members of the Special Task Force of the Commission attached to the Enugu Command on Thursday, February 8, 2024 along Owerri-Enugu Road, following actionable intelligence about his suspected involvement in currency racketeering.

According to EFCC, he would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
