Eid-el-Fitr: Jonathan Urges Peace, Unity For Prosperous Nigeria

As millions of Muslim Ummah troop out today to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, the former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has called on all Nigerians to promote unity and peace for the prosperity of the country.

Dr. Jonathan stated this while felicitating the Muslim brothers and Sisters on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a message posted on his X handle on Wednesday, the former President said, “the Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan which has exposed all Muslims to a period of fasting, prayer, reflection and spiritual growth.

“Let us use this occasion to strengthen the bonds of love, tolerance, friendship and understanding among our people and unite to work towards building a more secure, peaceful and prosperous country.

“May the blessings of Allah bring you and your loved ones endless peace, joy and fulfillment.

“On behalf of my family, I wish you all a memorable Eid filled with love, charity and peace”, he wrote on his X handle.
