FAAC Disbursed ₦2.23Trn To FG, States, LGCs In March -NBS

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed the sum of ₦2.23 trillion to the three tiers of government in March 2026 from the total revenue generated in February 2026.

This was contained in the March 2026 FAAC Allocation Report released on Tuesday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The amount disbursed, according to the report, comprised: ₦1.56 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account and ₦668.45 billion from Value Added Tax.

The NBS report said the allocations to the three tiers of government for March 2026 were: Federal Government with a total of ₦675.09 billion States with a total of ₦651.53 billion, and Local Governments with a total of ₦456.47 billion.

The sum of ₦110.95 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13% derivation fund.

The revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received ₦53.48 billion and ₦23.83 billion, respectively, as cost of revenue collections.

Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) revealed that: ₦519.01 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, ₦11.64 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, ₦5.82 billion as stabilization fund, ₦19.55 billion for the development of natural resources, and ₦11.42 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
