FAAN Airport Contactless Card Has Nationwide Validity- Kuku

The Federal Airport Authority (FAAN) has said the newly introduced contactless airport payment card once registered, can be used cross all its facilities in the country.

FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs.Olubunmi Kuku, disclosed this on Monday during the Abuja launch of the Operation Go Cashless Initiative at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Mrs. Kuku said the new scheme would ensure a more secure transactions and will but an end to the delays of cash handling.

According to Kuku, “the card features a unified wallet, meaning a single balance can be used across multiple registered cards-perfect for easy management for families or corporate users. It is available to all users, including our valued international travellers, and once registered, it has nationwide validity across all FAAN-managed airports.

“Beyond this unparalleled passenger convenience, this initiative is a cornerstone of our strategy for enhanced accountability and sustainable revenue growth. It creates a traceable financial environment, aligns us with global standards, and strengthens Nigeria’s position as a ready partner for international business,”.

The managing director added that “should your card be lost or stolen, you can instantly block it through this same dashboard. ensuring your funds are always protected”.

On her part, the Director Commercial and Business Development, Adebola Agunbiade, said the reliance on cash transactions has created chain of challenges.
