Federal Fire Service Launches Career Development Course For Management Staff

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has launched the 7th Career Development Course (CDC) for senior officers of the Service.

The course, which was launched today, 6th February 2024 at the National Fire Academy (NFA) Sheda, Abuja, is aimed at prioritizing prudence, strategy, and innovation for the future.

The Comptroller General of the Service, Engr. Jaji O. Abdulganiyu, while declaring the program open, explained that the launch was in keeping with the Service’s dedication to continuous learning and development, and emphasized the need for more senior officers with enhanced leadership and administrative skills in the FFS.

He noted that the skills include a strong understanding of policy and procedures, budgeting, and the purchase process.

The CDC is an initiative by the CGF aligned with the Ministry of Interior’s policy to train and equip FFS officers and men, ensuring efficient service delivery. It aims to prepare senior officers for managerial positions with minimal shortcomings.
