Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode on Monday, took a swipe at Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi over his comments that kidnapping of school children was a lesser evil when compared with ransacking of villages by bandits, saying it was madness.
On his verified Twitter handle, @realFFK, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode wrote: “Kidnapping children is a lesser evil because in the end you can negotiate & now bandits are careful about human life. Before the mission of bandits was to go into a town, ransack it & kill people. By this I can say our preaching is working”- Sheik Ahmad Gumi. THIS IS MADNESS!
The Islamic Scholar, Ahmad Gumi had on Monday, described the kidnapping of school children by bandits as a lesser evil.
Gumi who made the remark while featuring on BBC Pidgin programme said kidnapping school students was a lesser evil as compared to the ransacking of towns and killing of its residents.
