
Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has joined other global police leaders in Dubai as they explore
cutting-edge innovations and exchange ideas on technology-driven policing.
Today, Wednesday, 14th May 2025, day 2 of his visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the IGP took part in a tour of the Exhibition Centre at the ongoing World Police Summit.
Egbetokun departed Nigeria for Dubai on Tuesday, to take part in a high-level international engagement at the prestigious World Police Summit 2025 in Dubai, joining global law enforcement leaders, security experts, and policy influencers under the summit’s compelling theme: “Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing.”
The summit, holding from May 13–16, 2025, serves as a platform for advancing dialogue, partnerships, and innovations in global law enforcement.
“The IGP’s presence underscores Nigeria’s commitment to international cooperation, modernization of policing strategies, and intelligence-led law enforcement in an increasingly interconnected and technologically driven world”, the Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said.
At the summit, which also featured technology showcases, IGP inspected the Exhibition Centre, and shared ideas on technology-based policing, with a view to enhancing public safety and operational efficiency.
