Insecurity: Kano Police Seeks Synergy With NDLEA, Immigration

As part of efforts to make Kano State safer and peaceful for its citizens and residents, the Kano State Police Command has sought collaboration with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA and the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, for continuous synergy.

The Police Commissioner in the State, Abubakar Lawal, who paid courtesy visits on the NDLEA and NIS, Kano State Commandants, Friday, disclosed that his visit to the two formations was to familiarize with officers as partners.

CP Lawal revealed that Kano State Police Command will continue to partner with other security agencies in the State to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the people, pointing out that no agency can do it alone.

He stressed that the existing harmonious working relationship among the security agencies in the State will continue, and noted that, “policing entails dealing with people and when we come together, we will achieve more results.”

The CP further said, “We will continue to synergize, share intelligence and fight crimes to the barest minimum.”

Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, in the State, Mustapha Ahmed, told the Commissioner that, he has from his assumption of office always emphasized on the need for synergy among the security agencies in the State.

He further stated that they will give total support to the Police Command to succeed.

Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Abubakar Idris Ahmad, averred that the Police and NDLEA have continuously maintained cordial relationship in Kano State while working excellently with the Police which resulted in the relative peace enjoyed in the State.

“Going by history of NDLEA, the police is our mother. We will support you 100%. We know that what we do, other agencies will follow. There will be co-operation from all angles”, Ahmad said.
