Troops

Troops of Sector 3 Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), in a patrol operation, have eliminated one Boko Haram terrorist at Dugushewa Village in Borno State.

Military Public Information Officer, Ndjamena, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, made this known in a press statement on Tuesday.

TheFact Daily learns that the troops, on uncovering the terrorists, engaged them, and pursued them relentlessly as they attempted to escape.

Items recovered include 1 AK 47 rifle, 4 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and one magazine, among other personal items.

“This substantial seizure significantly weakens the insurgents’ capability and disrupts their ability to carry out further acts of violence and terror”, Abdullahi said, adding that the feat is a remarkable step towards ensuring peace and stability in the area.

The Force Commander MNJTF, Maj Gen Ibrahim Sallau Ali, while commending the troops for their display of gallantry, extended his gratitude to the local communities for their continuous support and cooperation.

“Together, we shall triumph over terror and forge a brighter and safer future for our nations”, he said.
