NEMA Partners NAIC To Insure Farmers, Agribusiness

To guarantee returns on investment, the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), is partnering with the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation, (NAIC) to ensure all affected farmers and agric related businesses are insured.

To this effect, the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, AVM Muhammad Mohammed welcomed the Managing Director of Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation in his office in Abuja on Monday for further discussions.

TheFact Nigeria learned that NEMA is the implementing agency for the partnership.

The NAIC will also participate in the enumeration of farmers in all the states of the federation and also serve on the implementation secretariat.

This was revealed on the official twitter handle of the National Emergency Management Agency, @nemanigeria on Wednesday night.

@nemanigeria wrote: “@officialdgnema AVM MA Muhammed (rtd) and Managing Director of Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation @NAIC_NG, Mrs Folashade Joseph on Tuesday 11th May 2021 meeting at the @nemanigeria HQ in Abuja.

“To guarantee returns on investment, NEMA as the implementing agency is partnering with NAIC to ensure all the affected farmers and agric related businesses are insured.

“NAIC has agreed to participate in the enumeration of farmers in all the states and also serve on the implementation secretariat.”
