The Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited has clarified that its operations were not impacted by the recent gas explosion in Bayelsa State.
NLNG General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Andy Odeh made the clarification in a statement issued on Friday.
He explained that the company was aware of reports of an explosion at a gas processing plant in an upstream facility at Gbarain Ubie, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on Tuesday. Disclosing that the company’s operations were not impacted by it.
“Please note that this does not impact the gas supply to the NLNG plant or our operations”, he said.
The clarification was necessary to correct the misconception in the public that the explosion had impacted the NLNG operations.
