Residents of Katampe Main, Katampe Extension, Jahi and nearby areas in Abuja should expect a power outage today, as the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) carries out planned maintenance work at the Katampe 132/33kV Transmission Substation.
TCN, in a statement on Saturday said its maintenance crew will service one of the substation’s 60MVA power transformers and its associated switchgear between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Because of the work, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will not be able to take electricity from the substation for supply to customers in the affected communities while the maintenance lasts.

The company apologised to electricity customers in the affected areas for any inconvenience the exercise may cause.
