According to a statement posted on its X handle on Friday, the NMDPRA said the license was presented by the Executive Director, Hydrocarbon Processing, Plants Installations and Transportation Infrastructure, Engr. Francis Ogaree, on behalf of the Authority.

Once completed, the refinery is expected to produce Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), and fuel oil, contributing significantly to the availability of refined petroleum products in the country.

NMDPRA described the project as being in line with ongoing efforts to expand local refining infrastructure and strengthen the nation’s petroleum value chain, as the Authority continues to issue licences aimed at boosting the country’s domestic refining capacity and reducing reliance on imported fuel.
