The Commissioner of Police (CP), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Ahmed Sanusi, has assured residents of the nation’s capital of adequate security throughout the Eid-el-Kabir festive period, extending his warm greetings to Muslim Faithful celebrating the occasion.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the CP said the Command is committed to maintaining peace and public safety across the territory.
Sanusi noted that strategic deployments, intensified patrols and proactive policing measures have been put in place to safeguard lives and property before, during and after the celebrations.
He added that the Command has taken all the necessary steps to ensure a safe and orderly celebration, with security personnel positioned across the territory to respond swiftly to any incidents.
CP Sanusi urged the residents to remain vigilant and law-abiding, and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station to complement the Command’s efforts.
The Commissioner also used the occasion to wish all Muslim Faithful and residents of the FCT a peaceful, joyful and memorable celebration, calling on everyone to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, unity and tolerance that the season represents.
