By Anne Osemekeh, Abuja

The Kano State Police Command has banned all Durbar activities throughout the state for the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

According to a statement on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa, the measure is taken “as a result of a series of security reports obtained and wide consultations made with relevant security stakeholders to ensure the safety of the larger community”.

However, the statement said, worshippers are advised to conduct their normal Eid Prayers at the various designated Eid praying grounds, traditionally done in the past.

They could also log-in to the NPF Rescue Me Application available in the Play Store, or through any of their online media platforms.

The command wished Muslim faithfuls a happy Sallah celebration in advance.
