Tanker Fire Incident: Tinubu Mourns Victims, Pledges To Prevent Re-occurrence

President Bola Tinubu has mourned the victims of fire incident caused by a tanker conveying petroleum product at the Eleme section of the East-West Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Tinubu who extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, pledged to implement safety regulations for the transportation of petroleum products to prevent Re-occurrence.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale in a statement on Sunday said, while commiserating with the government and people of Rivers State on the tragedy, which resulted in the loss of precious lives and property, President Tinubu prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.

The President, however, directed federal agencies in the state to continue liaising with the state government to provide the much-needed immediate support to all victims of the incident.

Tinubu commended the first responders in Rivers state for their bravery and dedication in assisting those affected by the accident.
