Troops of Nigerian Army deployed for Counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State have ambushed terrorists transiting with arms in the Birnin Gwari axis of the state.
The NA, disclosing this on Wednesday in a statement on their X handle, @HQNigerianArmy, said the ambush which took place today was in response to actionable intelligence.
The troops laid in ambush around Kwaga village for the terrorists who are known for causing mayhem within the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area. They neutralized one of the terrorists while others fled in disarray.
“The quick reaction of the troops not only prevented a potential attack on innocent citizens in the area, but also led to the recovery of 2 AK 47 rifles with magazines, as well as 2 motorbikes”, the statement said, adding that
troops are currently in pursuit of the fleeing terrorists.
