Veteran Nigerian Singer, Sound Sultan Is Dead

Veteran Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Ganiu Fasasi aka Sound Sultan has lost his life to Cancer.

His brother, Dr. Kayode Fasasi broke this shocking news.

According to him, Sound Sultan passed on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the age of 44 after battling with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

Sound Sultan began his entertainment career in the 1990s.

He started by hosting shows to raise money for studio sessions.

By the end of that decade, he had won numerous local talent-hunt shows.

He released his first single “Jagbajantis” in 2000, and it has since remained an evergreen song in Nigeria and beyond.

He is survived by a wife, three children and his siblings.
