We’re Committed To Advancing Water Security, Sanitation Access In 2025 -Utsev

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, has reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to advancing water security and sanitation access in 2025, as essential pillars of national development.
This is even as he expressed the Ministry’s determination to address challenges in the sector with innovative solutions, stronger partnerships, and a renewed focus on serving the nation’s communities effectively.
Prof. Utsev reaffirmed this commitment in his New Year Message to Nigerians on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Reflecting on the past year, the Minister said the Ministry witnessed significant progress in its mission to ensure access to safe water, improved sanitation, and sustainable management of water resources nationwide.
According to him, these milestones were achieved through the unwavering dedication of the Management team, stakeholders, partners, and the resilient spirit of Nigerians, all united by the shared goal of improving the quality of life in nation’s communities.
Utsev stated water is life, and sanitation is dignity, therefore, urged all Nigerians to join hands with the government in building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for the nation.
“Let us work together with determination, unity, and a shared sense of purpose,” he added.
While offering his warmest wishes to Nigerians for a prosperous, healthy, and fulfilling 2025, the Minister extended his sincere greetings and best wishes to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Noting that their visionary leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda have guided the nation on a transformative journey toward sustainable growth, inclusivity, and enhanced livelihoods for all citizens.
