AA Writes INEC, Submits Names Of Guber Candidate, Deputy For Anambra Polls

The Action Alliance (AA) has written to notify the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) of the Party’s July 1, 2021 conduct of the governorship primaries for Anambra November 6, polls.

At the primaries which held in Awka, Anambra State, John Okechukwu Ikeotuonye emerged as the governorship candidate, with Akabude Bonaventure Chimezie as his running mate.

This was contained in the letter dated July 5, 2021 and written by the Action Alliance legal team, S.C. Uchendu Chambers in Abuja.

The letter reads: “We are Solicitors to Chief Barr. Kenneth O. Udeze of Action Alliance and all other National Executive Officers of Action Alliance (hereinafter called ‘our clients’) on whose instruction and behalf we do hereby write you.

“Our clients have informed us that they had conducted their party’s primary on 1st July, 2021 for the November 2021 Governorship Election in Anambra State, at which John Okechukwu Ikeotuonye emerged as the governorship candidate, with Akabude Bonaventure Chimezie as his running mate.

“Our clients further informed us that the Commission (INEC) has however failed to make available to their party, the ACCESS CODE for the online upload of the relevant documents as it relates to the Anambra State Governorship election. Consequently, with the consent and authority of our clients, we do hereby forward the hard copy of the relevant documents to your good office and we have no other option.

“National Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Action Alliance (AA) together with the INEC FORMS EC9, EC9B and EC13B respectively. The said Letter is hereby marked ‘Annexure ‘N’.”

The letter was duly acknowledged as received on July 5, 2021, at the office of the Chairman, INEC.
