Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ Submitted For 2022 Grammys Nomination

Grammy-award winning singer, Wizkid.

Award-Winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid could be the first Nigerian to be independently nominated for Grammy awards for his groundbreaking album, “Made In Lagos”.

Made in Lagos is Wizkid’s fourth studio album released on 30 October 2020 by Starboy Entertainment and RCA Records.

Ever since its release, it had been topping charts globally.

Billboard, a platform that monitors weekly popularity of songs and albums in the United States and other countries depending on the genre confirmed that Wizkid’s album has been submitted for nomination.

According to the platform, it was nominated for the “Best Global Music Album” category.

The Billboard disclosed this via a post on its official website.

It wrote:”Wizkid’s Made in Lagos is vying for a nod in the recently renamed best global music album category” at the 2022 Grammys.

In 2021, Big Wiz won his first-ever Grammy. He was recognized for his contribution on Beyonce’s song, Brown Skin Girl.
