Power: Mamudah Mamman Assumes Office As Permanent Secretary
The newly assigned Permanent Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Power, Alhaji Mamudah Mamman has assumed office at the Federal Ministry of Power.
This was disclosed by the Ministry’s Director of Information, and Press, Mrs. Florence Dibiaezue-Eke in a statement on Friday,19th January 2024.
Mrs. Dibiaezue-Eke said, Mamudah was redeployed from the Federal Ministry of Works, Housing and Urban Development, where he held fort as the Permanent Secretary.
Mamudah takes over from Mr. Temitope Fashedemi who till recently, was the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Power and has been reassigned as Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
At the occasion, Mr. Mamman, while stating that success is a collective responsibility, expressed his commitment and readiness to work with the staff of the ministry.
He promised to operate an open, transparent, and accountable administration. He solicited the support and cooperation of the Management and staff of the Ministry, while also promising to foster peace in order to collectively align and achieve Mr. President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” which includes the provision of affordable, reliable, and steady power supply.
The outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Temitope Fashedemi, who has been reappointed for the next four(4) years by Mr. President, thanked the management and staff of the Ministry for the cordial and harmonious working relationship he enjoyed while piloting the affairs of the Federal Ministry of Power.
Fashedemi stated that his achievements and worthy performance in the Ministry were one of the things that enhanced and paved way for his re-appointment.
He enjoined the management and staff of the Ministry to extend the same hand of fellowship to his successor.
In her remarks, on behalf of the management and staff of the Ministry, the Director, Human Resources Management, Mrs. Victoria Adeosun, welcomed the new Permanent Secretary and pledged the support and cooperation of the staff of the Ministry.
She expressed the Staff’s readiness to follow the Permanent Secretary’s directives in order to achieve the goals and mandates of the Ministry in line with Mr. President’s Agenda.
Highlights of the occasion were the formal signing and presentation of the handover notes between the outgoing and incoming Permanent Secretaries.
