Edo Guber: Appeal Court Dismisses Judgement On 381 PDP Ad-hoc Delegates
By Vivian Michael, Abuja
The Court of Appeal, Monday, dismissed the judgement of a lower Court which ordered the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to allow the participation of 381 ad-hoc delegates in the February 22, primary election that produced Mister Asue Ighodalo as the candidate of the party in the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State.
A three-man panel of the appellate court set aside the judgement of the federal high court, Abuja by Justice Inyang Ekwo on the 4th of July, 2024.
The appellate court held that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit of the aggrieved delegates in the first place, having lacked the necessary legal rights to initiate the suit.
