The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned maintenance at its 132/33kV Kubwa Substation on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
TCN disclosed in a statement that the exercise will run from 10:00am to 6:00pm and will enable the maintenance crew to replace a faulty 33kV NIPP feeder circuit breaker and a punctured yellow phase current transformer with new units.
As a result, it said, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to offtake electricity to customers in Kubwa, Bwari, Army Resettlement, parts of Dutse Alhaji and adjoining areas during the period.

TCN apologised for any inconvenience the exercise may cause electricity customers in the affected areas.
