The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored Ajah- Lekki 330kV Transmission Line to service after days of outage caused by system disturbance and protection fault.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, TCN said the line was successfully restored at 3:18pm.
The company said the Ajah 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation lost supply on Egbin-Ajah 330kV Transmission Lines 1 and 2 at 12:40pm on Tuesday due to system disturbance.
It said following restoration of supply, Ajah Lekki 330kV Transmission Line tripped again at 5:02pm due to three phase to ground fault on Zone 1 protection, adding that line was patrolled and restored at 6:50pm on October 20, 2026.
TCN said the GIS circuit breaker at Lekki Transmission Substation could not be closed due to pole discordance but engineers have since resolved the issue and successfully closed breaker, restoring line to service.
The company appreciated the patience of customers of Eko Electricity Distribution Company affected by the outage and regretted inconvenience caused.
